Armored Core 6 certainly didn’t go for a simple layout when it comes to their HUD. It’s a flight simulator of Souls-like games, and you can scratch your head at all the numbers and dials. No one can be expected to understand everything at once. Actually, when I started, I just watched the beautiful colors and listened to the cannons. A lot can be said by simple animal instinct. However, when something called ACS Anomaly kept popping up on my screen, I started paying attention and had to find out what it could mean in Armored Core 6.
What does ACS stand for Armored Core 6?
When you fight with terrible enemies in Armored Core 6, you will no doubt be aware of their sway bar. Building this up with hard weapons like shotguns and pistols will make your opponent very vulnerable for a moment. Staggering knocks enemies down for a brief moment, giving you time to recharge, attack for more damage, or wipe the sweat from your eyes.
However, you are not immune to the dreaded wobble effect or ACS damage. Your wobble bar will slowly increase at the bottom of the screen. It’s the yellow bar above your stamina gauge. When it reaches max level you will get a stagger. If you do not retreat hastily, you will meet the same fate as your enemies in Armored core 6. Stagger grounds your ACS for a short time.

ACS anomaly
ACS anomaly is an additional risk of faltering Armored Core 6. Certain weapons, such as fire and plasma, will heat up your Armored Core. This excessive heat will cause it to malfunction. You will notice that the ACS Anomaly panel in your air conditioner slowly grows when you are hit by a heat weapon. When this fills up, you’ll be instantly checkered, regardless of whether your primary wobble bar is at 0 or not.
There aren’t many ways to avoid this other than upgrading your gear to help with AC anomaly resistance. You’ll notice certain gauges when building your conditioner, which contains both Attitude Recovery and Attitude Stability. Increase these two to reduce the effect of ACS wobble and anomaly.
