In The Indigo Disk, the second of two DLC adventures for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you can find many new monsters. One of the new monsters, Cranidas, has proved difficult for some players to find. Here’s our guide telling you where you can find Cranidos.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk – The place where you can find Cranidos
Cranidos is actually pretty easy to spot if you look in the right place, but you have to know where it is. To find a cranidas, look in the canyon biome in the terrarium.

When you log in Terrarium from the main tunnel to Blueberry Academy, you will arrive in the wrong biome. Just turn and head west until you pass the wall and enter the Canyon biome. Here, look to the north. You should see a high plateau with a long bridge across it. There are waterfalls here, and from its southern side there are steps leading out. You can fit however you like. I like to use Corydon to just climb the rock. It’s very fast.
At the top of the plateau, as you approach from the bridge side, you’ll find a lot of grass with monsters roaming around. In the grass at the top of the plateau, find Kranidas. At least for me, there were several hiding in a particular place. It was not possible to catch the first ones, but I got the third one. The screenshot of the map above shows the exact location where I caught the cranidas.

Cranidos is exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet
And now the bad news: you can only catch Cranidas in Pokémon Scarlet. If you’re playing the Violet version, you’ll need to trade with a friend or wait for a special event.
On the subject: What are the exclusive versions for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk DLC
Kranidas is a Rock-type Pokemon with some great abilities including Zen Headbutt. He specializes in hard hitting. Sometimes he will use the Head Smash ability. If you’re having trouble killing him without knocking him unconscious, try holding on while he uses the Smash Head move. The return is chipped to the extent of its service life. You can then throw an Ultra Ball to complete the catch.
