More Commodore Amiga news has hit our inbox as we recently learned on the EAB forums that the previously announced Flying Shark game; which is the upcoming Amiga remake of the 1987 arcade game of the same name. We recently teased a new look at the first level of the game with new graphics! A game being remade by Magnus T with JMD and John Tsakiris (GFX). Although the lead creator does state, “This is a level 1 test with new graphics by John Tsakiris: there’s a lot to fix, but it’s already looking really good.”

As we’ve said before in all our previous entries, many people initially thought that the 1988 Amiga version of Firebird was not only a poor conversion of a great arcade game, but many people also thought it had repetitive gameplay, a lazy port, and the Amiga could handle arcade gfx no problem. And here we are with this new remake of the game, and while we’re not sure how far development will go before its official release, we can already see that the game looks better than ever with this new graphical update.
