Your feedback is always valuable A sea of starsso it’s important that you always deal as much damage as possible. Malcomud resists magic but weak to physical attacks, while Salamander is the opposite. With that in mind, don’t boost Zale’s attacks against Malcomud.
Salamander still knows Salamander’s ability from earlier. This is a nasty attack that deals almost 40 damage to two party members. I suggest you try to break the Salamanders bar whenever it occurs to soften the blow.
Once you deal enough damage to the duo, Malcomud will jump into the air and mount Salamander, which will completely change the fight.
Phase 2 – Malkomount

Your biggest challenge is to break the Malkomounts bar if possible. If you don’t, the boss will use a summoned attack Geobres. This ability deals 50+ damage and usually kills whoever it hits. Fortunately, it’s only a single target ability, but if you can’t block it, try to keep your party’s health high to survive.
Whenever Malkomount attacks without a bar, it goes for a tail strike. This attack is very difficult to block because it is awkwardly timed. It’s not as dangerous as Geobress, but deals 15+ damage to all party members.
Magic is the way to go when the boss is in this form. Valero’s Moonerang can easily deal 70+ dmg in a single attack if your timing is right. It’s usually worth saving it for attacking Geobres, as there are usually several moons on the Malcommount bar. Zale’s ability is also a good option as a backup.
Let the Solstice Warriors take the damage and rely on Garl Feed ability to heal. Use food as Fillet grass when things get desperate, but when you’re on the cusp of breaking a bar, you should be able to keep the situation under control. The battle can go from bad to worse quickly, so don’t worry if it takes a few times.
