Ready or not players quickly noticed how unforgiving some of the missions could be. About halfway through the main missions is one in the Los Sueños Postal Service: That’s right, you know the one. Here’s how to complete Greased palms mission in Ready or Not!
How to quickly complete the Greased Palms mission in Ready or Not
You must complete the following objectives to effectively complete the Greased Palms mission in Ready or Not:
- Bring order to chaos (Report and arrest all suspects)
- Save all civilians (Detain civilians)
- Arrest FISA Agent Adams (armed)
- Arrest Maria Lopez (no weapons)
- Find Eugene Gomez (no weapons)
- Find it FISA office
The first two tasks were the usual standard Ready or Not tasks, but the rest I had to keep an eye on. Many targets are moving in this a lot but you can find them in the following areas:
- You will find FISA office following the trail of blood from inside the building to the soft target. Behind this is an additional office with brown walls, just go inside and report it to the central dumpster.
- Maria Lopez appears from time to time at a table in a display case, or in the back of a truck in a loading dock, or in a sorting facility. Maria has dark skin, a white blouse and blue pants.
- Eugene Lopez is in a sorting facility, at the far end of the map where you start, surrounded by enemies. Eugene has a blue hat, dark skin, a white shirt and blue pants.
- Agent Adams has multiple locations and is easily spotted with his blonde hair and FISA jacket that “just rolled off MTV Beach House”:
- Inside the FISA office.
- Only outside of it.
- Along the stairs or inside the office upstairs above the sorting facility.
- Outside the sorting facility near the large trucks.
On the subject: How to complete the Lethal Obsession mission in Ready or Not
In isolation, none of this is difficult. But bringing order to chaos can give players a mild aneurysm. There are about 16-18 enemies, often with two guns, and their scope and unironic valhax are the stuff of legend.
What are the Soft Objectives on the Los Sueños Postal Service map?
Greased Palms has two soft goals:
- Notify about the body c Suspected shooter (red shirt)
- Report a cache of weapons
The shooting suspect is found on a trail of blood as you find the FISA office. The weapon stash is next to the large transport trucks, inside a van in a wooden crate at the far end of the outer left part of the map.
Why is the Greased Palms mission so difficult?
There’s no easy way around this: I and the players agree that the mission “Ready or Not” broken with his insane artificial intelligence. The map features a raid on an active shooter situation at the LSPS Sorting Facility, and as it stands it’s nearly impossible to do without the player or their teammates dying.
Howeverafter hours I have some observations about the mission, and after completing it, I have some life-saving tips for players:
- Make room for gas grenadesthey are better suited for larger spaces.
- Use the Optiwand/Mirrorgun religiously
- Immediately enter the premises at the starting point and protect all civilians.
- Past display case, hang left through loading area, stop hostile, and clearly left side of the exterior until you reach the sorting facility. This is a much less stressful approach.
- Clear the Sorting Complex and then the rest of the building from the inside. From here, the small trustees office on the right outside is a simple walkway.
- The moment you take life-threatening damage, stay to the side and let your team clean up while you support from behind.
Take these steps and you will eventually clear this parade of frustrations. Shockingly, the next few missions are a a break compared to Greased Palms in Ready or Not.
Can you beat Greased Palms with mods?
If you want to cheat a little, in that case you would have my blessing to use the No Crack for AI – Just say NO mod. This degrades the enemy AI lightly allowing you to fight fair instead of getting horribly shot by snipers the moment you get in their crosshairs. Fortunately, using this mod doesn’t disable achievements, it just gives a minor slap on the wrist on the score screen, marking it as an “unofficial” score.
How to get S rank in Greased Palms
Other than getting some god-level runs while playing commander mode and not dying to merciless cover shooters, it’s probably best to wait until the AI is fixed. Given that immortal runs are really the only way to get an S rank, you need to subdue all suspects, rescue all civilians, and complete all major and soft objectives while retrieving all weapons dropped by the enemy.
Do this and the game will automatically pull you out! After completing this mission, take a break, hug a relative, and have a hearty, maybe good cry. I feel like I aged quickly from the stress of having enemies swoop in and ruin dozens of runs, but it only gets better from here! Unless you’re a psychopath and want to try it at an Ironman, then buckle up.
