In February The Walt Disney Company issued a press release which Disney and Epic games will collaborate on all-new games and entertainment universes that will “further expand the reach of beloved Disney stories and experiences.” Epic games is the video game and software developer that gave us “Fortnite” and “Gears of War.”
I feel like the two companies that came together and collaborated didn’t get much attention. The business opportunities for both seem endless. What does the merger mean for the parks? Could Disney have a Fortnite theme park that incorporates some of the popular game’s features? What Fortnite fan wouldn’t want to visit a park that features a game with a Disney rotate? It can be very successful. And you already have two established brands that aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Does this mean the merger of giants in entertainment that we will be able to play or have Disney character skins in “Fortnite”? It would be something that would bring in new fans for both Disney and Fortnite.
There are several Disney characters I’d like to play Fortnite with. Donald Duck it would be interesting because visually it would be fun and you know he would have a cool weapon and a cigar in his mouth. Playing with Disney villains would have fun. Captain Crook would be a wild skin for navigating the “Fortnite” terrain. Ursula would be cool too. She will be ruthless and strategic in a game where you have to use your intelligence. She can have a hard time dodging her opponents fire with all her tentacles. Her powers can be limitless in the powerful sea witch game.
Playing as one of the Guardians of the Galaxy can also be exciting. Rocket and Drax would make one hell of a tag team.
